I shared a link to Sara Gorman’s site the other day. Well, my pillfold arrived yesterday and I’m very pleased! I ordered the Navy Pillfold Bordeaux. My main concern was whether the sections would be large enough to hold my afternoon vitamins. Not only are they just the right size, but there’s an extra compartment at the bottom for my emergency pills, so that removes TWO pills cases from my purse!
Each compartment has the day of the week printed behind it and is divided into two sections. Since I take all my other pills at home, I was able to double-up and carry two weeks worth of pre-sorted pills. Now I don’t have a big bottle rattling with pills in my purse, and this is much nicer-looking! It’s easier to find in my purse, and the little loop means that I can hang it when I’m travelling if I so choose. Also, I’m reasonably certain that if a gel cap popped then I would be able to throw this in the wash (although I don’t recommend using the dryer due to the risk of the plastic dividers melting).
I had looked at something similar to this but with resealable compartments, but I did not like it as much because they can be hard to close when my hands are bad; the fabric zippers with pull rings are very convenient!
Overall, I am very, very pleased. The only drawback I can see is that now I don’t have the cap of the pill bottle to hold my pills when I take them- I may need to bring in a little dish or bowl to use for that purpose (I use a cough syrup cup at home for carrying and taking my pills). Also the metal garment tag, while very stylish, is surprisingly heavy, so I removed it. I already carry more weight in my purse than I should. (Sorry, Sara!) So far, I’d say absolutely worth the price!
Oooh. I like, I like, I like, I like. I’m currently only on when-you-wake-up and right-before-you-go-to-bed meds, but if that changes, (which I’m sure it will), I’ll have to remember this!!!
I think it would be brilliant for organising jewellery when you travel as well!
This is great! I was diagnosed with lupus 6 years ago and I hate toting around that big plastic box. Would love to order but it won’t let me unless I open an account with that shopper thing. How can I order with a credit card?
I’d say try dropping her an email and see if she’s willing to use other payment options. It’s really a terrific product and I love showing it off!
Great, I will do that. Thanks!
