Hello! Sorry for the long lag between posts. My inadvertent hiatus continues, but it’s tentatively a good thing. Like many health bloggers, I write less when I am actually going OUT and DOING things!

This weekend hubby and I did some shopping for home projects and new works shoes. Unfortunately, we did not consider that everyplace was mobbed with back-to-school shoppers. We both found shoes and then fled for our lives.

We also picked up plywood and other supplies at the home store. I was very excited to get to use my mini-truck for what it was intended- carrying big things! And now it smells like plywood, so I feel all rugged and stuff.¬† Yesterday afternoon hubby braved the attic to install the boards so we can move some storage up there, while I broke down boxes we don’t intend to keep for recycling. We were both drenched by the time we finished. We still need to pick up one or two things and then move the boxes to the crawl space, but the hardest part of the project is done!

Aside from a cardboard cut on my hand and a lovely bruise on my thigh from the corner of a piece of plywood, I am in really good shape. It’s nice to work on some of these bigger job and not be utterly exhausted and/or incapacitated the next day.

Today was the first day of classes for the Uni, so what did I do? I went to the dentist! I had two older fillings that needed to be replaced. One of them actually fell out as they began removing it! Since things went smoothly, I said okay to go ahead and take care of another tooth. Unfortunately, that tooth needs a root canal some time in the near future. It was not an auspicious start to the day. Between the root canal and the crown, it is going to set me back a lot of money, even with insurance. I am hoping that things hold out for a couple weeks until the work schedule settled down- in good news it is not at all painful.

I nibbled on a banana and am working my way through some macaroni and cheese for lunch- sticking to soft foods until all the numbness wears off. I can almost talk normally again so I won’t have an excuse to avoid the phone, soon. I did shut the door to my office because I keep spontaneously drooling (hence my post title). I expect that my mouth will feel really chewed up once the numbness is all gone.

I hope that everyone is well and I should be posting more, soon!
