More family fun this past weekend: hubby’s sister and her family are in town. We met up for dinner with the whole family and finally were able to meet the baby niece (who is now almost 2!). Jokes were made about needing to see each other more often than every two years, but we’re all so spread out and travelling with three kids makes things a bit tough on their end.
Sunday we went out to the Kennedy Space Center- 5 & 7 might still be a bit young, but they had some fun stuff and we all had a good time. Hubby gifted each of the kids with a patch from the first shuttle mission he worked on when he was employed out there. The last shuttle is on the pad waiting for a July launch- it makes me immeasurably sad.
We managed to survive the day with the brood but were pretty wiped. Hubby succumbed to the lure of fast food on the way home and regretted it mightily.
I may be dealing with cubital tunnel syndrome- still hoping that the NSAIDs will help and that nothing drastic needs to be done. Having to wait two more weeks to have it addressed does not thrill me. The numbness is ever-present and distracting- at least I now know what to do to avoid aggravating it.
I ate a chocolate muffin as big as my face today. Okay, as big as half my face. But it was HUGE! (I will not do that again.)
If I could wring another 10k miles out of my mileage I could have driven to the moon. That fact will not stop me from getting a new auto in August *crosses fingers*.
I am far, far behind on updating my photo sites, so here’s some goodies:
