Well, my doctor’s appointment yesterday went okay. I am officially down 2 lbs. since December. Since that was before the holidays and I didn’t start WW/walking until the end of January, I’ll take it. There’s a 7 lb. difference between my morning weigh in at home and afternoon weigh in at the doc’s. Eh. This does mean that I am on track for a pretty good weigh-in at the rheumatologist in April. Also, I was able to combine bloodwork for my endo appointment- so yay! Less needles! (And let me tell you- man, that stick hurt and I bled like crazy. Ugh!)
I am finally getting around to having a mammogram done. With my family history I probably should have done it a while ago. I had the order but never got around to it. Then I forgot and left the new order at the doctor’s office- I think it’s a subconscious thing. I’ll ask if they can fax it to work today.
Yesterday I had my best walking time since I re-started (under 18 min/mi average) but I pushed too hard too fast and was slow on the way back. My left hip is screaming today- it feels like when I went to a co-worker’s bellydance dance and unexpectedly did hip drops for half an hour. Ow. So I’ll be taking things easy for the next few days.
My dad asked me to make a few bracelets for the SWC (Say What Club) convention coming up. Both of my parents are members as my dad has been mostly deaf since he was very young. The bracelets will be sold at silent auction to fund scholarships to help those with financial issues to afford the convention. Since many members are on disability the funding can be a big help. He offered to pay for the bracelets which is very flattering, but it’s for a really good cause so I will donate them. I have ideas for two already- maybe I can start work on those today or tomorrow (especially if I’m not walking after work).
