So, when I’m tired and stressed (and who isn’t at the holidays?) I find my short-term memory is completely shot. In the spirit of this blog, I’ve been rationalizing how this can be to the good, and here’s what I’ve come up with so far:
- Forgetting which blogs I’ve already read means my favourite blogs get double-hits from yours truly, enjoy!
- Wandering aimlessly from room to room trying to remember what I got up for means more calories burned! (This also works in grocery stores!)
- Did I eat a cookie already? I can’t remember, so I guess not! Om nom nom nom!
In other news, I forgot how incredibly much I love gnocchi. Of course, I love potato *anything*, so this should be no surprise. Mom loved her b-day gifts and I had fun putting it together. If you or someone in your family is in a book club, I’ll give you my recipe for an Expert Bpook Club Kit.
Spending first day of my vay-cay snuggled on the couch reading. I have built myself a nest and plan to spend the bulk of the next week there. About to venture out for minimal errands and check on a friend’s cat while they’re out of town. Belly unhappiness from last night seems to be somewhat better, so here’s hoping tonight’s festivities are not totally derailed. Hubby’s computer is reformatted and in the midst of reinstalling extravaganza. Pain for it to happen right before a holiday, but at least we have the time to work on it- sadly, reformatting was long overdue.
I have Christmas cards to write, and miles to go before I sleep.
