It would be much too easy to fall out of the posting habit right now, so these may be brief and uninteresting, but I’m posting dog-garn it!
Had a good appointment with my GP today. Talked a bit about overtesting my thyroid and sorted that out. There’s a new cholesterol test that is more accurate that they want to try, which I am more than game for. Sadly, this puts me up to six, yes, SIX, vials of blood drawn. On top of fasting I was feeling pretty darn woozy and had a glass of water and a nice sit-down before I tried driving into work (I then had a multigrain bagel with butter and a non-fat chai, which I’m sure was stellar for my cholesterol).
Very busy day today. Sat in to learn about my Long Term Care insurance options. I have mixed feeling about whether that particular plan is best. I have some more research to do before I decide.
Met hubby for lunch. We were stiffed by the local Outback restaurant which apparently only caters to the after-work crowd, so it was back to our favourite salad place (darn!). We’ll try again for dinner one night.
I fled work for the grocery store only to pull into heavy traffic just as a major storm hit. My windscreen wipers need one more setting: Intermittent, Slow, Fast, and Florida (I picture the wipers blurring with speed). I then got to bring in the groceries in the torrential downpour, only to discover that every type of communication media I own was spouting tornado warnings – funnel spotted and all. Lovely.
Oh, and all that was only slightly less dangerous than trying to get around a frisky pair of Sandhill Cranes that were blocking access to my car in the parking lot. It was an impressive display, but not really the sort of thing you want to get too close to.
And I am terribly behind on social media. Sometimes life is just like that.
