Dreamt I had a really bad asthma attack- one of the coughing kind that I haven’t had in years and years. Woke up gasping- that was not fun.
The good doctor’s appointment Friday got me a bit overexcited, and I once again proved that I am pushing myself too fast. I aimed for 15 minutes of “swimming”- alternating half-laps and treating water, and ended up with horrible sore shoulders all day Saturday. Was feeling better Sunday only to have shooting pains in my hands, which may be my old tendonitis flaring up, or (shudder) osteoarthritis. I think the tendonitis much more likely, since it does flare up periodically, but not really something I needed to deal with yesterday.
Despite all that, Saturday was a fun, lazy day at home with my hubby. Sunday I did all the cleaning I failed to do Saturday and earlier in the week, attended a kick-ass barbeque, and then had friends over for gaming with some surprise baby-time thrown in. Discovered that a cat toy on a stick is remarkably effective for encouraging crawling, so they’ll be buying cat toys for little D. post haste. I am incredibly amused by this.
Sadly, by the end of the evening I was drugged-up and exhausted and crashing at the dinner table. I went straight to bed but was still tired this morning, although other than stiffness feeling a lot better. Also, discovered this weekend that Lime flavoured Mt. Dew is not bad, although I doubt I would have bought it on purpose had I been paying more attention. Grocery shopping today, and tomorrow the house gets pressure-washed. Woo! Yes, my life is an exciting carnival of glee.
Anyway, been getting back into some low-level cooking: made cucumber salad for the cookout and baked blueberry muffins from scratch last week (officially named MASSIVE MONDO MUFFINS in appropriate sport announcer voice- think WWF). Next- make some onigiri. I need to start making/eating healthier lunches, and this is my excuse to buy new bento boxes. ^.^
