This week is turning out much better than last week. My pain levels are way down, and I haven’t had to take anything for stiffness or discomfort in 24 hours! Woo! It may not sound like much, but I will take my triumphs where I can. And this is an especially good sign since hubby and I walked for half an hour last night! It was a brisk walk (although nowhere near the 4 mph I walk at my best). We went right at the end of the day. Of course, it was horribly humid but we both worked up a decent sweat, and the fact that I am not at all stiff or sore makes me very happy! In all it was much better than our last walk. Now we just need to do this more often than once a month!
Hubby would like to start running again, and I would love, love, love to get back up to speed to do a 5k in the fall. Working out with hubby is kind of amusing. My baseline fitness is better than his, but once he starts working out regularly he passes me pretty fast. We are still pondering getting an elliptical machine, and after yesterday’s humidity it is much more tempting!
This is a quiet week of work with most folks at the conference, so I am getting some nit-picky jobs done that take lots of concentration and not too many interruptions. Lower stress now that my meds/doctors mix-ups are sorted out help, too. Best friend and goddaughter arrived safely last night- I really need to call them! I completely flaked on that last night, thanks to good news that our HOA approved our paint colours, so we can finally get the pressure washing/repainting of the house done! Progress in many places. :}
